Recently I have been intrigued with the idea of people falling in love with the unknown. By questioning the concept of movement and place, I create several series of prints upon which thoughts appear, develop and are manifested. Each connotation acts as a cipher for different qualities and variations of that search for the ‘not yet known.’
In my work I make bright map like images that extend and connect with dark impressions. Each of these prints acts as a placeholder for the creative impulse. By cutting parts of paper away to reveal what’s beneath, and pasting over other prints; this represents the desire to navigate and chart our world around us, eventually changing the inner geography of our psyche.
